Vintage French Double Bed Frame Demi Corbeille Grey White French Louis
WELCOME TO MY SHOWCASE OF BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE FRENCH BEDS. STUNNING FRENCH DOUBLE BED FRAME - DEMI CORBEILLE. An original French Louis double bed frame of solid wood with lots of curves and carvings. The wood has been painted with white over grey and has a little sparkle seen between the "Chateau Chic" finish. Professionally reupholstered in a chrome grey velvet chenille that has a two tone effect in certain lights. Hardwearing and of a heavy upholstery weight. The curves of the bed has been traced in a silver grey gimp braid. I have made a matching cushion that is also included with this sale. French bed frames are slightly wider for taking a 140 cm x 190 cm slatted base frame. A standard UK double mattress will fit nicely into the frame as pictured. In 4 pieces comprising of headboard, foot board and side rails. The bed is very easily assembled as there are just 4 integral screws, one in each side of the side rails. All my beds are wrapped and boxed prior to dispatch for full security in transportation. Width of headboard: 148 cm. Total length approximately 210 cm. A beautiful piece of French furniture that would make such a statement in any bedroom.
THE REASON IS: The slatted base frame does not dismantle and measures 190 cm x 140 cm. Some homes or staircases that do not have the turning room to accommodate the base. SIZE 190 cm X 140 cm.
In one whole piece as in the photos. The mattress base frame has beech slats set into a ridged metal frame. The "used" mattress base frame has wooden slats each side of a central bar for comfort and easy of sleeping for each individual side of the bed.
The frame will be in good condition, maybe some signs of use but in great working order. A little about vintage items.
As with most antique/vintage and used pieces of furniture there may be signs of pre-loved life which should be acceptable to the customer when purchasing items of an age.
