Vintage French silk upholstered wooden frame double bed and base

Vintage French silk upholstered wooden frame double bed and base. Beautiful French bed with carved wooden frame on scroll legs.

Currently lavishly upholstered in striped silk. The generous upholstery under-padding is in good condition, but the silk does have a tear on the footboard and a couple of large stained areas (hence lowprice), so could do with fresh top fabric. The paint on the wooden frame has been chipped in several places.

Also included is the firm bed base, covered with cotton ticking, which folds in two for ease of transportation. The Ticking also has staining. Has been disassembled ready for collection. Max Width: of bed frame: 148 cms. Max Width: of base (Mattress support): 140 cms.
